As of Monday I have been on a detox type of diet. I am trying to constrain myself to fruits and vegetables only. The exception here is breakfast, where I have a bowl of oatmeal. This is not easy. I am hungry, and I am tired but that is probably because of my body actually detoxing.

I try to keep myself in line by writing down all the foods I have cravings for throughout the day. Sure, I end up thinking about the foods longer than before (y’know, long enough to write them down), but it is an outlet. So, here is the list in no particular order:

  • ribs
  • double cheesburger
  • chocolate
  • general tso’s chicken
  • spaghetti (damn you olive garden unlimited pasta commercials - I don’t even like olive garden)
  • pizza
  • ice cream
  • french fries (interesting I didnt think of this at the same time as the double cheeseburger)
  • Rafiqi,s delicious lamb/chicken gyro (yeah, their sign has a , instead of a ‘ )
  • pad thai

That is all I have written down so far, but it has only been 2 1/2 days! I will post status of this as I venture through the next 27 1/2 days of this experiment to release me from my dependance on food. And maybe I might learn to like some veggies, instead of hating them all. Wish me luck!
