It has been one whole day that I have been on Weight Watchers again, and it is going fairly well.  I mean, like I said, I was mostly following the diet but not point tracking and binging when I felt like it. So it isn’t as if this is REALLY difficult, but it provides some challenges throughout my day that would be non-existent without the diet.

Some examples: Wendy’s meal for me last week was 3 Stack Attacks and a Chicken Nuggets off the value menu - 33 points (my daily limit). I can’t go out to eat with co-workers any more.  I have no self control. I have to go home, so I miss out on all the little office gossip.  While not completely debilitating, it sucks to not have that companionship.

Second example:  I get hungry at around 3:00.  This happens on or off the diet. I can normally surpress it, or grab some snacks from the office “grab-a-snack” box. But now the hunger is intense at 3:00 and I still haven’t wisened up enough to bring a snack from home. I will have to fix this shortly.

Third example: I have to measure my food. Sure, I could eat all the broccoli I want, but if I am eating pasta, I have to measure everything out with measuring cups or with my, currently, non-functional scale. I have to compare it to the nutrition facts and then calculate out the points. Just not as easy as stuffing my face or eating til I am full.

I just need to keep it up.  Perseverence is key.  I did my first workout in a long time yesterday.  It was about an hour and was only dips and burpees - but the burpees nearly made me puke. I did 4 sets, 13-12-11-10, but I couldn’t get out the fifth set and had this fear of puking all over the place, so I took a shower. I am going to try to fit in some cardio today - lets see how that goes.

Also, I am working on my “Fitness Bot” - so that I can dynamically schedule my workouts and keep track of them electronically. Making it robust enough for others is the thing that keeps slowing down the progress.  The schema is difficult to explain - but I am excited for it to be implemented.  I will keep updates of the system here.
